The Chianti Riserva follows the traditions of our heritage in the Colline Pisane (Pisan hills), an area designated Chianti DOCG. The wine is crafted from at least 85% Sangiovese, completed with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. As “Riserva” the wine receives two years of cellar ageing prior to bottling.
Villa Saletta produced this wine in the 2007 and the 2008 vintages with bountiful Sangiovese crop.
The ideal partner to Tuscan food, including pasta dishes, prosciutto and salami.
- The 2007 received the “Fiasco d’Oro” (Golden Wine Flask) award at the Third Festival del Chianti in Pontedera, Tuscany, in 2011, a Bronze Medal at the IWSC 2011 and First Place at the 12th Edition of Federazione Italiana Sommeliers (FISAR) in the Pisa Province in the same year.
