The Villa Saletta Spumante is a Rosé spumante made from 100% Sangiovese from a single vineyard. The wine is made using the traditional method (“metodo classico”) and is naturally zero dosage.
The wine is hand riddled and aged on the yeast for 1 year prior to hand-disgorging. It is naturally zero dosage, with residual sugar (less than 2 g/liter) that is less than Brut and Extra Brut adjusted sparkling wines.
The 2010 vintage is the first publicly available vintage.
The Villa Saletta Spumante’s zero-dosage nature (no sugar added), and dry, lightly structured style is ideal as an aperitif that easily carries through to appetizers. Equally, the Spumante can be enjoyed as an accompaniment to first courses such as seafood pasta.
The 2011 vintage received a Gold Medal plus Distinzione di Merito at the 52 Concorso Nazionale dei Vini DOCG-DOC-IGT 2013 Pramaggiore-Veneto, and a Bronze Medal at the 2013 IWSC.
